I've even checked Will's blog looking for a clue.

Are you OK?

Unrelated - but my RSS reader shows a post of Feb 11 that says "Have you received you presidential sex directive today" but it is not here. Why was it removed.. it seemed harmless.. interesting. I get a 404 message kind of "hipped" up.

A commentator on Sunday said, "The most exciting thing about the Oscars is the Red Carpet." What does it say about an event that the most exciting thing is watching people walk into it?

You did read last year's column, right? If not, there's your "twice as long" right there.

" 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button', one-ups 'Forrest Gump' by being about a boy who lives backward through the turmoil of recent history." (Ty Burr)

A great article about the role of the Oscars, and their original purpose.

Kind of a lazy quote though, since Herzog makes a big deal (in a silly kind of way) out of not having any cute penguins in the movie. Anyway it's very far from the "heart-warming" nature epic the Oscar jury usually prefer, he's extremely bleak about the future of humankind

I actually liked most of the nominated movies this year, but I do have a sense of humor, and that was pretty funny.
