Katie Halper will never forget:

It’s hard to believe it, but the Alamo fell 172 years on this very day. As we commemorate the Alamo let us consider these words: Those who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat its mistakes*. If you listen closely, you can hear the Alamo’s warning cry. And it is warning us against an imminent threat. Sadly, few people realize the connection between national security and immigration. So, as the adage says, let us look at the history: 3/6/1836. The Alamo. Never Forget. We live in a post 3/6/1836 world. And we need to be thinking in a post 3/6/1836 mind set.

For centuries we’ve been unable to eliminate the debilitating terrorist campaign of Montezuma’s Revenge, which continues to attack our values and our bowels. Readers: don’t say I didn’t warn you. Because by the time a cell of undocumented Mexican gardeners drives their lawnmowers into the pentagon, it will be too late.

  • Seminars on the virtues of open immigration should always include scheduled screenings of the 1999 comedy Bowfinger. Beware of a mild to moderate spoiler alert after the YouTube embed, an excerpt from the movie dubbed in Spanish.

Steve Martin plays an aspiring filmmaker who figures out that he can make a tiny-budget movie with the world’s biggest action star (played by Eddie Murphy) as the hero—without the star even knowing that he’s being filmed. Essentially, they stalk him with a camera and a microphone and edit the results cleverly. In the above clip, Martin and his friends find literally the best film crew they can afford. The gag may seem cruel to illegal immigrants at first. But after looking so helpless and terrified in this scene, they quickly learn English, film editing, and cinematography. When we see them last, they’re wearing hip Hollywood clothes and carrying cell phones.

And if Scientology has ever crept you out in any fashion, you’ll appreciate the scenes with Eddie Murphy and Terence Stamp.
