I heard about this study on Red Eye a few nights ago but assumed it was from some legitimate research. Kerry your a sharp (and cute) gal but I can't believe that you don't see how weak this research is. It's actually a joke! There are lies, damn lies and then statistics! These guys can't even do statistics right! This study has so many internal and external validity issues that for the most part it's worthless! I actually read it to see how they determined the police freebies claim and nowhere do they justify it. All of the sensational claims they make aren't backed up at all. The "trackers" they use are the most biased observational data collectors in probably any research study I've seen. Were the guys who wrote this study junior college dropouts?
